Handcrafted Pocelain by Claudia Schoeming, Berlin
Handmade porcelain is one of the most meaningful art forms of our time, standing in deliberate contrast to speed, automation and uniformity. Each piece carries the presence of the maker — shaped by hand, guided by experience and defined by subtle individuality rather than perfection.
Claudia Schoemig is one of Germany’s most distinctive contemporary porcelain makers, known for a refined balance of artistic expression, material mastery and functional design. She has won multiple desing awards along her way. Based in Berlin, she founded Schoemig Porzellan in 2010, creating handcrafted porcelain that transcends conventional tableware and becomes an integral part of the dining experience.
Schoemig regularly collaborates with chefs and private clients on bespoke tableware collections, developing individual service pieces that reflect a culinary philosophy or a personal vision. Her porcelain supports storytelling at the table — understated, tactile and timeless rather than decorative or loud.
